The First Forum of Azerbaijani Judges was held in Baku. Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Saadat Bektashi and a group of judges of the Supreme Court and courts operating in the autonomous republic participated in the forum.
The purpose of the forum, which was attended by more than 400 court judges and members of the Judicial-Legal Council, was to inform the legal community and society about the ongoing judicial-legal reforms in our country.
The forum continued with panel discussions.
In the discussions, the reforms carried out in the judicial and legal field, modern challenges and upcoming issues were discussed. Discussions were also held on the implementation of justice in specific areas.
Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic, Saadat Bektashi, spoke about "One of the possibilities of the Administrative Court to conclude the dispute: reconsideration of the appeal taking into account the legal position of the court".
Within the framework of the forum, there was a ceremony for presenting the "Judge of the Year" award established by the Azerbaijan Judges' Union for various nominations.
A Conference of Judges was also organized within the framework of the forum. At the conference, elections were held for the members of the Judiciary-Legal Council.
The annual report of the Azerbaijan Judges' Union was also presented.
